You will most likely live in university accommodations.
Imperial College provides world class scholarship, education, and research in science, engineering, and medicine. The exchange with Imperial is only available for Chemical Engineering students from Columbia. Full-degree British students traditionally study in one department during their undergraduate career. As an exchange student, you will be admitted to the Chemical Engineering Department. You will only take courses within the Department. You will take classes alongside local students. For optimal course integration, we recommended that you plan to spend an entire academic year at Imperial College London. It is best to go during junior year.

You will most likely live in Imperial’s university accommodations, which offer a variety of options based on taste and budget. As an exchange student, you will have access to Imperial’s Student Union, with over 300 clubs and societies.

- Clearance applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis or reviewed soon after the application deadline. If eligible, you may be asked to submit further materials for nomination as an exchange student. If nominated, you will be provided further information.
- Admission to Imperial College London is highly selective. You must have a GPA of at least at least 3.5, and have the support of the Chemical Engineering department. Please meet with your Office of Global Programs adviser to discuss details further.
