__________
Hi everyone! My name is Ifeoluwapo, Ife for short. I’m a 4th-year student at Columbia, majoring in Economics and pursuing a minor in French. I recently completed my Spring 2025 semester at Columbia’s Reid Hall in Paris. My time in the French immersion program was transformative, and the experiences I had in Paris were invaluable. That’s why I’m working with UGE as a Global Learning Assistant to inspire other students to make the life-changing decision to study abroad.
I took classes with world-renowned professors who have greatly influenced my perspectives and even shaped my professional path. My favorite was Violence by and Against women, taught by the amazing Christelle Taraud who is among the greatest living historians. Being in Paris opened the world up to me and introduced me to people living walks of life I had never even considered. The student artist community cultivated is unlike any other, and I have Paris and Europe as a whole to thank for some of my closest relationships.
