About Our Global Journey
Our Global Journey is UGE's extended support system for students studying abroad. We want to help you increase your understanding of cross cultural interactions and perceptions, connect with fellow study abroad students around the world, and deepen the impact of your experience!
Our Global Journey Components
Through regularly scheduled Zoom sessions and an Our Global Journey Courseworks site, you will have the opportunity to participate in reflection sessions that range from UNESCO Story Circles to Developing an Emotional Passport to Re-Entry Shock, as well as engaging and creative activities. These will take place across your entire study abroad journey from before you depart until you return home.

Getting Started
Before departure, you will gain access to our Canvas site, which hosts curated resources designed to help you set your mindset and approach your experience for maximum impact.
Deepening the Experience
While abroad, join the Our Global Journey peer-to-peer reflection sessions, participate in our contests and activities, call on your UGE advisor to deepen your understanding & appreciation of your study abroad experience.
Sustaining the Impact
Upon returning from your study abroad country, you will get to engage with your peers in Our Global Journey Sustaining Sessions, Workshops, and events to distill and digest your experience for continued impact.
