Meals: Welcome and farewell meals will be provided on the first and last days of the program. Ten dinners will be covered throughout the program by the program fee. Breakfast, lunch, and remaining dinners not covered by the program should be budgeted separately. Depending on how extravagantly one plans to eat, it should be safe to budget about $5-$10 per meal.

Local Transportation: The flight between Tunisia and Morocco is covered by the program fee. Students will be able to walk to and from their housing to class. All other local transportation outside of class time will be the student's responsibility to pay.

Visa: U.S. citizens (and some other citizens) are exempted from having to apply for a visa in order to enter Tunisia and Morocco for less than 90 days. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please check with your local consulates about whether or not you need to apply for a visa. If you require any additional documentation from the program, please contact the Center for Undergraduate Global Engagement.

Books and course supplies: All course materials are provided by the program.

Cell Phone: All students are required to have a working cell phone capable of making and receiving both local and international calls throughout the duration of the program. This estimate is based on costs of U.S. cell phone plans.

Airfare: Estimated cost of multi-trip airfare from NYC to Tunis and Casablanca back to NYC, but the starting and final destinations may differ depending on where each student plans to travel from and back to before and after the program. Students are responsible for purchasing their own flights to and from the program. As a reminder, the flight between Tunis and Casablanca during the program is covered by the program fee.

Personal Expenses: Personal expenses are highly variable based on each person's spending habits. They may include entertainment and personal travel.

It is required that you maintain a health insurance policy that will also provide coverage outside the U.S. for routine, urgent and emergent care. This cost is not included in the chart above.
