Tuition and fees are subject to the Board of Trustees' approval and may change.

*Tuition: The program invoice will be sent via e-bill on June 7, 2021, and will be due on July 1, 2021. It covers tuition, partial meals, and program transportation. It does not cover housing, meals while on campus, visa, medical insurance, book and course materials, and personal expenses.

*Tuition and fees are charged to all students including Columbia students who are eligible to enroll in Columbia summer 2021 courses.

Document (transcript) Fee: This one-time fee of $105 is charged to new students. This fee will be included in your e-bill. Barnard students might be charged this fee if they haven’t taken a course at Columbia.

Housing: You are welcome to live either on- or off-campus during the SEE-U NYC program, subject to on-campus housing availability. Please note that you will be required to regularly commute to and from the Columbia University Morningside Heights campus.

Meals While on Campus: The cost for meals will vary widely depending on your individual spending habits. Lunch will only be included in the program costs on the days in which an all-day off-campus site visit is included in the daily agenda.

Local Transportation: All transportation costs are included in the program costs. Please note that you will be responsible for regularly commuting to and from the Columbia University Morningside Heights campus.

Books and Course Materials: You are responsible for purchasing any course materials necessary for the program.


It is required that you maintain a health insurance policy that covers you for routine, urgent and emergent care in addition to having all up-to-date immunizations required by Columbia Health. These costs are not included in the chart above.
