Tuition: The program tuition invoice will be sent via e-bill to your Columbia student account in the first week of June 2024 and will be due in the beginning of July 2024. The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Public Humanities Initiative (SNFPHI) is sponsoring the program and will cover the cost of the tuition. Participating students will receive a stipend for project-related expenses.

**Document (transcript) Fee: Barnard students might be charged this fee if they haven’t taken a course at Columbia.

Deposit: All students are required to submit a $500 deposit to reserve your place in the program. If you withdraw from the program any time after submitting your Confirmation of Participation form, the deposit will not be returned to you. If you participate in the program, your deposit will be refunded to the credit card you used to make the deposit payment.


As part of the program, you will be covered for urgent and emergent care while you are abroad. Routine and preventive care is not included so you should maintain a health insurance policy that will provide coverage outside the U.S. or your home country. This cost is not included in the chart above.
