Visa Expenses: Since U.S. students do not need a visa to study in Greece for less than 90 days, the majority of students will not need a visa. International students may need a visa, which will incur additional costs, including travel to visa application appointments.
Cell Phone: All students are required to have a working cell phone capable of making and receiving both local and international calls throughout the duration of the program. This estimate is based on the cost of getting a local sim card.
Airfare: Flights are generously covered by the Athens Global Center. More information about how to reserve a flight will be provided upon acceptance to the program.
Personal Expenses: Personal expenses are highly variable based on each person's spending habits. Any personal travel is not included in this estimate.
As part of the program, you will be covered for urgent and emergent care while you are abroad. Routine and preventive care is not included so you should maintain a health insurance policy that will provide coverage outside the U.S. or your home country. This cost is not included in the chart above.
