This study abroad program, in partnership with IFSA, allows you to take courses at University College Dublin (UCD). Ireland's largest university, University College Dublin, is research-intensive and renowned for teaching excellence. University College Dublin offers a wide variety of subjects.
Academics
Founded in the mid-19th century, University College Dublin (UCD) has a long and distinguished tradition of service to scholarship and teaching. You can choose from hundreds of courses each semester in a full range of disciplines. Popular subjects include Architecture, English, Irish Studies, Politics, and Engineering.
Study abroad students at the University College Dublin may enroll in Level 1-3 (100-300) classes. Access to Level 4 classes varies across the UCD colleges, but generally, if a student meets the module prerequisites listed, they are eligible to take the module.
Program Features
Dublin is a student-friendly city full of exciting culture and nightlife. The main campus of University College Dublin is situated at Belfield, a wooded campus located just south of the center of Dublin city. You will have the opportunity to participate in IFSA excursions, like exploring the stunning Coast and Kilkenny, a medieval city where you can get your fill of artisan foods and try your hand at the Gaelic sport, hurling.
Students live in university-owned and operated student apartment buildings or townhouses on campus or less than five miles away. Your flatmates are other visiting students, or students from Ireland or other countries. You will be living in a shared Apartment/ Flat with a shared bathroom

- To apply for Columbia clearance (approval) to study abroad, click on "Start Your Application" on this webpage. Clearance applications are approved on a rolling basis until the application deadline listed on this webpage.
- To apply for program admission, complete an external application directly on the program webpage. Note that this deadline may be in advance of the Columbia clearance deadline.
