Learn more about spending your Fall 2025 semester on Columbia in London, a program offered by Columbia's Department of English and Comparative Literature, in partnership with Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). On this program you will take a course with Columbia University Professor Joseph Slaughter whose global seminar Postcolonial London will consider texts by writers who migrated (or were born to migrants) from the West Indies, Africa, and South Asia, who reside(d) in London and made it the setting of their work. In addition to the Global Seminar, you’ll take courses at QMUL, where courses are offered in various different subjects in the humanities, social science and STEM fields.
