Overview

Study across various academic areas entirely in Spanish while on the CIEE Spain: Liberal Arts in Seville program. Put your advanced Spanish skills to work and take a combination of courses at CIEE's Study Center in Seville and their partner schools, Universidad de Sevilla and Universidad Pablo de Olavide (UPO). To participate, you need to complete a minimum of 4 semesters of Spanish, or the equivalent, prior to departure.

Academics

This program is designed to improve your spoken and written Spanish skills while you pursue coursework in a variety of subjects. You are required to take a two-week intensive Spanish language course, which is designed to prepare you for classes at the partner schools and adjust to the academic culture.

At Universidad de Sevilla, you may take courses across several fields, including the Arts, Biology, History, Literature, Mathematics, Philosophy, Psychology, Spanish Language Studies, and more.

At UPO, you may take courses across several fields, including Economics, History, Humanities, Mathematics, Psychology, Social Sciences, and more.

Program Features

You will have the option to live in either a homestay or in a student residencia (residence hall) with a mix of CIEE, local, and international students.

To encourage language and cultural acquisition, all participants of the program agree to speak Spanish throughout their study abroad experience.

All courses are complemented with CIEE co-curricular activities and excursions beyond the city.
