The IFSA in Peru: Pontificia Universidad Católica (PUC) del Peru Partnership is a supported enrollment program in Lima. Attend one of the most prestigious universities in Latin America, and live in Lima, an ocean-side capital city of more than 8 million people that is known throughout the region for its rich history, beautiful setting, arts and cuisine. In order to participate, you need to complete 4 semesters of Spanish, or the equivalent, prior to departure.
The program offers a combination of coursework at the prestigious Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru (PUC) alongside local students and IFSA classes designed exclusively for the program participants. PUC is known for having a wide variety of courses such as Architecture, Engineering, Sociology, History, Psychology, and more.
You will have the opportunity to live in a homestay. IFSA only places one student per family to maximum cultural and language integration.
During your time abroad, you are encouraged to get involved in community service to learn the most you can about local Peruvian society and issues. The program takes students on several excursions, which in the past have included Machu Picchu, Caral, and Pachacamac.
