Overview
The IFSA program at the University of Glasgow is a supported university enrollment program offered during the fall, spring, and academic year. Students take all their courses side-by-side with local students at the University.
Academic Program
Part of the prestigious Russell Group of UK schools, the University of Glasgow has high-caliber academics on a large, city campus, with everything from triple-accredited Business classes to Public Policy. Special classes like Bagpiping and Stained Glass make it easy to explore Scottish culture, as well as the arts, medicine, or volunteering.
You will take classes alongside full-degree local students. You will take a traditional course load of 60 Scottish (SCQF) units, which is three to six courses.
Program Features
Founded in 1451, the University of Glasgow boasts a breathtaking campus whose soaring spires and iconic cloisters are frequently cited as a design inspiration for Hogwarts. Despite its deep historical roots, the university maintains a strong connection to its community; about 40% of its students come from Western Scotland, offering the opportunity to be fully immersed into local student life. For instance, head out hiking or bouldering with the University's mountaineering club (the most active group on campus).
Students live near the university in single or double rooms in residence halls, or in large complexes divided into furnished apartments (called flats) for two to 12 students.
