"...the most compelling reason is that getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing new cultures, food and music will permanently alter your worldview."
The Global Learning Scholarship (GLS) supported my study abroad by making my dream of going to the city of lights a reality. The Columbia Summer in Paris: English Track program has enhanced my academic goals because I have learned more about the political landscape of France, the EU and immigration in Europe.
Furthermore, I was able to make lifelong friends during this program and even spark my curiosity in potentially getting involved in international law. The reasons for studying abroad are several, but perhaps the most compelling reason is that getting out of your comfort zone and experiencing new cultures, food and music will permanently alter your worldview.
Two fun experiences I had during this study abroad trip was our school cruise on the Seine, and traveling to the south of France and Monaco.
