Virtual Columbia Summer Chinese Language Program Information Session

Are you interested in immersing yourself in Chinese language this summer? Attend this information session to learn more about the Virtual Columbia Summer Chinese Language Program. First through fourth year Chinese language will be offered virtually, and classes will be taught by faculty from the Columbia Chinese Language Program who will offer live, highly interactive instruction. Students will complete one year of Chinese over 8 weeks. Lectures on Chinese culture and history to complement your language learning will also be offered. Need-based scholarships are available. Application deadline: April 1st.

Info Session-Summer Field Course on Public Lands in American West

Federally managed public lands in the American West include National Forests, National Parks, and Bureau of Land Management parcels. Those lands are used by millions of residents and visitors for recreation, resource extraction, wildlife habitat, and spiritual renewal, leading to complex access controversies. This summer course provides an interdisciplinary overview of these dynamics, including study of the history of land use in the region, current resource conflicts, relevant policies, and the potential for future resolution. The course will be offered in a hybrid format that includes three weeks online and a one week visit to Colorado. Come learn more!

Are you interested in studying abroad in Berlin for a semester or academic year? Attend an upcoming information session to learn about the Berlin Consortium for German Studies (BCGS). Become fully immersed in Germany's culturally rich capital city while participating in an intensive academic program. Explore your academic interests through this fully customizable program by choosing from a broad range of German language, BCGS, and/or local university courses. Not only will you continue to master the German language, but you will also have a chance to choose courses from a diverse range of disciplines. The BCGS is based at the Freie Universität (FU) Berlin, a premier German university that offers courses which will not only pique your intellectual curiosity, but also help to meet your home school requirements. Fall options include September to December (U.S. fall calendar) or September to February (German calendar).
