Prior to going abroad and while you are abroad, be mindful of the following steps you need to successfully return to Columbia University.

Columbia Course Registration

If you are on a semester or academic year study abroad program, you need to register for courses for the following semester at Columbia University while you are abroad. As usual, you will receive a date and time for registration on SSOL.

Columbia Housing

Columbia College and Columbia Engineering: Please review the most up-to-date information about study abroad on the Columbia Housing webpage for more information. School of General Studies: You will need to work directly with General Studies Housing to determine arrangements upon your return to Columbia University. If you have any questions about GS housing, please contact gs-housing@columbia.edu.

Columbia Dining

UGE will communicate with Columbia Dining a list of confirmed study abroad students approximately two weeks before Columbia bills are released. You can expect the dining charges to be reversed from your student account within 3-5 business days.
